Come see the impressive Danré Strydom perform the Sinfonia Concertante alongside 3 other FSSO principals this coming Saturday in the Odeion from 7;30pm!
Danré has established herself as one of South Africa’s premier solo, chamber and orchestral musicians through her global concert experience. She began her formal studies with Heinrich Armer at the University of the Free State after which she furthered her studies at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where she worked with renowned clarinettists Eli Eban and Eric Hoeprich.
After being a member of the Brussels Philharmonic from 2009 to 2013, she accepted a position as woodwind lecturer at the Odeion School of Music OSM, UFS. She is currently principal clarinetist of the Free State Symphony Orchestra, an International Buffet Crampon artist and continental (Africa) chairperson of the International Clarinet Association (based in the USA).
